Golde ragtop, only had this one a short while, great little car, especially blatting about with the roof open of a sunny day..


My first resto, 1990 ish...



It went on to go lower (obviously..) Centerlines, brushed alloy interior, open stinger....oh the memories! In the background you can see the roof of another 72 that cost me £200, that was used as a runabout while the restoration was taking place...best £200 car ever! well, apart from the flintstones stylee floorpans...

Sadly I have no pics of many of my past dubs...we didnt have digital cameras back then....but I have also owned a 72 camper, 71 fastback, many many flat screen bugs, a couple of 1303's...

We need to see that choptop runnin down at Santa Pod next year!!!!

But as Mrs Jason, I like to think of the yellow one above as mine, even though it's left us....LOVED that car!!

Its actually not far off really....its ready for flatting and painting, although I am planning on a race car type paint job with 3 or 4 colours so its going to take a while...oh, and then it needs the engine which has barely been looked at yet....oh and then wiring up...and then an interior...so maybe a little while then

Well you're a lot further ahead than me, A 4 pack of red bull and some class A's would have that done over the easter weekend!!!!!! ha ha.
I'm think applying 1 colour is hard enough, let alone 4. I tend to make it look like i've painted it with my dog, and it naturally falls into the "rat" category!!!

The only thing a 4 pack of red bull and some class a's would produce here is a lot of talking bollox followed by paranoia.....

The 4 colours would turn a bit psychedelic, ha ha
